At kompasbank, we handle your personal data confidentially and, of course, comply with the Data Protection Act, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’), the guidelines from the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), and other relevant legislation. We collect and process the following types of general personal data: a unique ID and technical details about your computer, tablet, or mobile phone, your IP address, geographic location, as well as which pages you click on via cookies (read more below), and the information (name, phone number, email, and possibly CVR number) you choose to send us via the contact form.

Our purpose for collecting personal data is:
To respond to your inquiries
To enable you to use our website (cookies)

To process your personal data, we must have a legal basis (it must be stated in the law that we are allowed to process the specific data). The relevant legal bases are listed below:
Some of your personal data is processed because we have a legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), in relation to your privacy rights. This applies, for example, to your cookies, which we use to generate statistics on website usage and to optimize the user experience on the website.
Processing your personal data may require your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Therefore, we obtain your consent for specific purposes, such as cookies for marketing purposes and consent for marketing via our contact form. Each individual consent can be withdrawn at any time and does not affect your terms or current services at kompasbank, although you might experience, for example, that we launch a new product without informing you about it.
How Long Your Personal Data Is Stored
Cookies are stored for a maximum of two years and are specifically listed in the “Expiry” column in the Cookie Declaration further down this page.

You also have the right to object to our processing of your personal data based on our legitimate interest. In the case of an objection, we will assess whether the processing can continue or whether your situation means that your objection can be accommodated. Finally, you have the right to have your information transferred to you or another company (data portability). You can read more about your rights in the Danish Data Protection Agency’s guidance on the rights of data subjects, which you can find at www.datatilsynet.dk.

Our data processors process information solely on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.
We use a third-party email service provider to distribute our newsletters. We collect statistics on open rates and clicks to see if our news is read and relevant to our subscribers.
We use only data processors and/or sub-processors in the EU or in countries that provide satisfactory protection for your data.
