From a Nørrebro basement project to an international growth success

Hear the story of the bike courier and world champion Jimmi Bargisen, the man behind the popular cargo bikes from Omnium Cargo. 

It all started as a hobby project in a basement in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. Jimmi wanted to create a cargo bike that wasn’t just practical because of its cargo box – but was also of high quality and fun to ride.

Word quickly spread among other bike couriers about how cool Jimmi’s bike was, and demand grew explosively. Today, it’s not just bike couriers but also families with children and those who have opted out of cars who are enthusiastic about Jimmi’s bikes. 

In fact, smiling Omnium cyclists are a common sight in Copenhagen, and the bikes are sold in several cities internationally. Jimmi’s ambition is to introduce his bikes to even more countries, and we at kompasbank are proud to be part of this exciting journey.
