Privacy notice - kompasbank navigator users
Here you can read how we handle your personal data as a user of kompasbank navigator, effective from January 1, 2022, for both existing and new kompasbank navigator users.
At kompasbank, we protect and respect your data and your privacy. When you wish to create a profile on kompasbank navigator at kompasbank A/S, we process your personal data as the data controller.
This Privacy Notice applies to you as a private individual affiliated with a company with a kompasbank navigator profile.
1. What is personal data?
Personal data includes any information that can be linked to you. When you create a profile, we register contact details that may be attributable to individuals associated with the company.
2. How do we process your personal data?
At kompasbank, we process your personal data confidentially and per the Danish Data Protection Act, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) guidelines, and other applicable legislation.
We collect your personal data when you create a profile with us. In addition, we obtain information from publicly available sources via Lasso X or directly from Virk.dk.
We collect and process regular (non-sensitive) personal data:
Name, phone number, and email are examples of general personal data that we process.
3. Purpose of processing and the legal basis
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
Creation of a profile on kompasbank navigator
Access to our platform
Marketing
Closure of profile
We do not request any information beyond what is necessary and relevant to fulfill the purposes stated above.
To process your personal data, we must have a legal basis (the law must permit us to process the specific data). The relevant legal bases are listed below:
We have a legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in using your information to match you with relevant partners who can help you and your business reach your full potential and to send service notifications.
In certain contexts, your consent is required for the processing of your personal data (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Therefore, we obtain your consent for specific purposes, such as marketing.
Consent can be withdrawn anytime and will not affect your terms or current services with kompasbank. However, you may miss out on new initiatives launched by kompasbank navigator or kompasbank that could be relevant for your business.
4. How long will you keep my personal data for?
If you create a profile with us, we will retain your personal data for as long as you have the profile. If you close your kompasbank navigator account, we will retain your personal data for six months.
If you have given consent for marketing, we will retain your contact information until you withdraw your consent or for up to two years after we last sent you marketing material.
5. Protection of your personal data
We have established a number of technical and organisational measures to ensure that your personal data is not accidentally or illegally deleted, published, made known to unauthorised persons or misused.
6. The right to information and other rights
You have the right to get access to the information we have collected about you, and the right to get incomplete or inaccurate personal data about you corrected or deleted. You also have the right to request restrictions on how we may process your information, just as in certain cases you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data based on our legitimate interest. In the event of an objection, we will assess whether the processing can continue to take place, or whether your situation means that your objection can be met. Finally, you have the right to have your information transferred to you or another company (data portability). We keep records that we have complied with (or possibly rejected) your request to use one of your rights for two years.

7. Transfer of information (including third country transfers)
Data about the use of our website (cookies) is processed by third parties, which can be seen under “Provider” in the Cookie Declaration found at the bottom of the following page.
We use third parties (data processors) for storage and processing of data, i.e. processing and storage of your personal information in our IT systems provided by private companies. They process information solely on our behalf and are prohibited to use it for their own purposes.
We only use data processors and/or sub-processors in the EU or in countries that can provide your information with satisfactory protection.
8. Right to withdraw your consent at any time
You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by contacting us directly.
If you withdraw your consent, any processing we have already carried out based on your previous consent will not be affected. Therefore, your withdrawal of consent will only take effect from the moment we receive your request.
9. Duty of confidentiality
All our employees have a duty of confidentiality. This means that information about you, including your personal data, will not be unjustifiably passed on to third parties.

14. Changes to the Privacy Notice
As a partner of kompasbank, you will be notified if we change our methods of collecting and processing personal data that affect you. The date from which the changes take effect is stated at the beginning of the document.
